Cuba - My Homeland

Donations to ADA

On October 28, 2000, my mother Ramona M Romero, passed away after fighting diabetes for 35 years.  My father died in Cuba in 1960, when I was a teenager, due to all the torturing Fidel Castro's people inflicted on him.  So that I could have a good future and enjoy living in a free country instead of in Communist Cuba, my mother sent me to the United States.  She followed me six months later, and together we started  our new life in Miami, FL.  She was a loving, hard working woman who respected everyone and who loved  God.  I could have not have asked for a better mother.  I am the person I am today because of all she taught me.

She always used to tell me: "When I die, please don't buy me flowers.  Take that money and do something to help someone who needs help here on earth".  So... as a good son I did.  I am also placing this DONATION PAGE on my website to give you the opportunity to carry her legacy forward.  Take this opportunity to help someone else through the AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION.
If you do not know about Diabetes and how it affects lives, please read up on it.  All I can tell you is that her Doctor used to tell me that Diabetes is "The Silent Killer".  Thank you in advance for donating and giving hope to those who day in and day out suffer with this "Silent Killer".

THE DIABETES ASSOCIATION

How Your Donation Dollars Help The Diabetes Association (ADA)

Your donation dollars will help ADA to continue to champion the rights of people with diabetes!

Just last month, the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly in favor of the ADA Amendments Act to help protect persons with diabetes from discrimination in the workplace.

This is a great step forward, but our work isn't done yet! Your donation will help us fund ongoing advocacy efforts like this and ensure that the rights of all persons with diabetes can be better protected by law.

Your support also allows the ADA to offer 10,000 children with diabetes the opportunity to participate in our diabetes summer camp program. The ADA is proud to be the largest provider of camps for children with diabetes in the world.

Your donations help to reduce costs for all campers, and to provide funding for financially needy children.

Help ADA make the world a better place for people with diabetes - give today

100% of your donation will go to the Diabetes Association, Pins N More does not retain any administration cost from you donations.
